What it costs

There are four ways to work with us and they cost very different amounts. Most of what you will read below is a range rather than a price, because the honest answer depends on your business — but the ranges are real, and we will tell you which one you are in after a single conversation.

We will also tell you when the cheapest option is the right one. That happens more often than you would expect.

Four ways to work with us

Use it

From $49

per month

Sign up for sparx and run it yourself. You turn on the parts you need and pay for nothing else. Cancel whenever you like.

For small teams who want to move today and are comfortable setting things up themselves.

Set it up

$4k–$12k

one-time, then the monthly above

We shape the platform to your business, move your information in, train your people, and hand you the keys. Usually two to four weeks.

For businesses who know what they need but not how to build it. This is where most people land.

Build it

$15k+

per project, quoted after week one

The parts of your operation that do not fit anything off the shelf — your pricing rules, your approvals, the report your biggest customer insists on, the machine that needs talking to.

For businesses whose work genuinely is not standard. We quote after we have seen it, never before.

Run it

From $600

per month, flat

We host it, watch it, back it up, patch it, and stay on call. When something breaks on a Friday afternoon you call us and a person answers.

For businesses with no IT function and no desire for one. Which is most businesses.

The rungs stack. Most businesses start at “set it up”, add “build it” when they hit the part that is genuinely theirs, and keep “run it” going indefinitely.

What moves the number

A quote is not a mystery. These are the things that actually change what a project costs, in roughly the order they matter.

How much of it is genuinely yours

The eighty percent every business shares is already built. You are only paying to build the part nobody else does your way. A business with two unusual rules costs a fraction of one with twenty.

The state of your information

Clean spreadsheets move in quickly. Fifteen years of records in four systems with three spellings of every customer name is real work — usually the single biggest line on a setup quote.

What has to talk to what

Connecting to your accountant's software, your supplier's catalog, or a machine on your floor takes time proportional to how well that other system is built — which is rarely up to us.

How many people have to be trained

Four people in one building is an afternoon. Forty people across six locations on three shifts is a project of its own, and we would rather price it honestly than discover it later.

What is included, and what is not

Always included

Hosting, security updates, and daily backups.

Every improvement we make to the platform underneath.

Your own domain name, set up and secured.

Training for your people, in plain language.

Getting your information out, whenever you ask.

Billed separately

Card processing fees — those go to the payment company, not to us.

Text-message reminders, at cost.

Anything you buy from somebody else that we connect to.

New custom work after the project ends, quoted the same way.

Photography, copywriting, and logo design, if you want ours.

Who owns what

This section is on the pricing page on purpose. It is the part the person signing the cheque actually needs to know, and it is the part most companies bury.

Your information is yours

Your customers, orders, products, and history belong to you. Not to us, and not to anybody we buy services from. You can export all of it at any time in a format other software can read.

Custom work belongs to you

Anything we build specifically for your business is yours to keep and to take elsewhere. The platform underneath stays ours — that is what makes it affordable to everyone standing on it.

Your domain stays yours

Registered in your name, not ours, even when we manage it. A company that holds your web address hostage is holding your business hostage.

If you leave

You give us thirty days, we hand over your information and your custom code, and we help you move. There is no exit fee. A business that stays because leaving is painful is not a business we want.

Questions about money

Why is there a range instead of a price?

Because a two-person bakery and a forty-truck distributor are not the same job, and quoting them the same number would mean overcharging one of them. We give you a firm number after week one, once we have seen the work rather than guessed at it.

Can the price change mid-project?

Only if you ask for something that was not in the quote, and only after we have told you what it costs and you have said yes. You will never open an invoice and find a surprise on it.

Do you need paying up front?

Part of it. Setup projects are split across the start, the middle, and the day you go live — so we are carrying risk alongside you rather than getting paid before anything works.

What if we only need part of this?

Then you only pay for part of it. Every capability turns on and off independently, and you are billed for what is on. There is no bundle that forces you to buy six things to get the one you wanted.

Is there a contract?

For a build project, yes — it protects both of us and says what you are getting. For the monthly side, no lock-in: thirty days' notice, any time, no penalty.

What if we cannot afford it yet?

Start on the first rung and run it yourself. It is the same platform — you are only doing the setup work instead of paying us to. Come back when the time it costs you is worth more than the fee.

Find out which one you need.

One conversation is usually enough for us to tell you which rung you are on and roughly what it would cost — including when the answer is the cheapest one, or somebody else entirely.

Tell us what's broken

Or email hello@wize.works — a person reads it, usually the same day.
